Incept has been a proud supporter of Cross International for the past two years. This year Jeff White, Founder and Chief Listening Officer of Incept and Eun White, Incept's Corporate Controller are committing their time and resources to chairing a Gala event to be held in May in support of the restevak children of Haiti. Restevak is a Creole word meaning "one who stays with"; in Haiti these children are given or sold to wealthier families and live as indentured servants. The abuse and neglect endured is unimaginable. With the devastation of the recent tragic earthquake, the children of Haiti are at even greater risk as more families will now not be able to care for their own.

Together with Cross International, Incept is choosing to make a difference in the lives of these children by providing educational outlets where they can learn much needed skills to assist them once they are turned out of the homes in which they serve.

On May 7th, at The Hilton Akron/Fairlawn, friends and business associates from the area will come together to help us in this cause. The Gala is a fundraising event that will make a difference in so many lives.

The event will begin with a silent auction and cocktail hour, followed by dinner, dancing, entertainment and a live auction including an African Safari and Carnival Cruise!

Father Reidy lives in an isolated area of El Salvador about three hours from the capital of San Salvador. The clinic provides care for people living in 23 communities covering an area about half the size of Summit County, Ohio. People come to the clinic on buses that take two hours each way; and those without access to public transportation walk up to two hours.

Incept was approached by the Cleveland Diocese priest at a time when the future operation of the clinic was in doubt. Along with $500 per month from a parish in Lorain, a combined donation of $500 coming from 50 individual families which helped the clinic survive, Incept stepped in and since 2003 has paid the salary of the clinic's only doctor. This enables care to be provided for anywhere from 10 to 25 patients per day who would have no other reasonable healthcare option without this clinic.
